20110401 - Housing benefits and flat rentals

This is the result of my flat after renting it out using the "best" (and certainly the most expensive) letting agents on the High Street to a person on housing and child benefits. If you are thinking of renting a flat out, and want some advice, I am more than willing to talk about the rabbit hole of expensive legal nightmares that landlords can unwittingly get themselves into in the United Kingdom if they are not going to personally read all 1,200 pages of the Housing Act. Do not take ANY advice from your letting agent at face value...
